Who We Are

Pearl Jamz is a home-grown music community with roots right here in Pearl, MS. What started as a jam in Brian Brock’s garage evolved into a platform for recent grads chasing music beyond school. We laid down recordings and did lots of jamming. We kept meeting, kept learning, and the song list kept growing.

Eventually, we decided to put together a real show. We rang up old bandmates and friends, pooled our gear, and threw our first official “Picnic in the Park” jam on the old stage at Pearl Park. It was the same old planks that we rattled way back in the ’80s. Full circle, full volume, full hearts. Today, we keep that groove alive with community hangs like Pearl Day, Picnic at the Park, and a handful of pop-up sets around town. You’ll also catch us in local spots like Jose’s and Alumni House, where the vibe’s friendly and the grub and suds are most excellent.
