• We need everyone’s helping reaching out to as many former classmates as possible since not all are on FB or our FB Page & we only have a month
  • We need more administrators for the FB Page – PEARL HIGH SCHOOL Class of 1982- FB message sent to April Everette Harwell
  • Discussed Appreciation for April setting up this page, It’s been great way to communicate
  • Discussed Appreciation for Dorian Hughes Taylor for getting things kicked off or ball rolling on this 40^th Reunion! Nobody can believe that we are that OLD!!
  • Our years left together could truly be….Precious and Few!!!
• We need a new count of ~ # of attendees since many people made other plans for the Oct. 1^st date – when they thought the reunion was cancelled.
• The Cost per person for Food can’t be determined until we know ~ ~ # of attendees
• To lower cost per person…..
  • Have at the “Free” Pearl Community Center (Ice machine, Full Kitchen- Table Setup and Breakdown included)
  • Use “Free” DJ Services organized by Brian Brock and Family- Good Mix of Music Genre- 80’s/90’s and more To Spark Good Memories
  • Main Menu Prepared – Pork Meats, BQ Sauce, Baked Beans by Karen White Smith and Family (Cost needs to be reimbursed)
  • Request volunteers for other Food, Party Supplies from others- Make signup sheet
    • We will have Main Food Table, Appetizer/Dips/Snacks Table, Dessert Table wet up
    • BYOB – Alcoholic beverages / Tea & Water  covered on signup sheet
  • Request for Volunteers for Decorating – No limit on Volunteers- 10-12 slots on Sign up sheet- Others welcome if they want to help
    • Plan to show up on Actual Day of Event @ 10 am to Decorate
    • If enough people want to contribute we could get Balloon Arch for decoration and Photo Prop ~ $250.00 – Add to cost
    • More discussion with separate Decorating Team based on # volunteers
    • Might could use memorabilia from High School Days if people want to bring
  • Request for Volunteers for Cleanup – No limit on Volunteers- added to Sign up sheet- Others welcome if they want to help
    • Mainly need to ensure all trash/garbage removed, decorations removed etc. and everyone out NLT Midnight
    • Tables taken down, etc. will be handled by City of Pearl

• Name tags needed – No time to have fancy name tags with pictures etc.
  • Will have small table set up for attendees to sign in and put on Sticker name tags
• Discussion that Sadly we have lost some of your High School Classmates
  • Request Volunteer to Lead the Efforts to have either a Memory Table or Poster or Wall Hanging to

The music we listened to in High School covers much of the 70s and early 80s. We will be playing the music at a level that will allow us to socialize comfortably while listening to our tunes in the background. Of course, we may turn it up when we hit The Lamar set!
